    I didn't think that a cat would attack anything that big.

      A determined hungry feline can take out a chicken. It wouldn't be easy, but it's do-able. A determined, pissed off feline could take a person [not kill them mind ya, but it wouldn't be fun] They are fast, and they have four armed limbs plus serious teeth.

      Mostly the problem we have seen is that stray cats, go after smaller birds, like bantams, or when the chickens or poults are smaller.

      Luckily we have a barn cat that keeps other cats away.
