    and workers?

    I hope she meant executives.

I know some managers, and though they make a good salary ($50k-70k), which is a lot more than the workers, they put in about 75 hours a week (not by the time clock). When you break it down hourly, they are not getting paid so handsomely for the additional responsibilities. And they also are the very people who began in those low-paid positions. So I would hardly create a divide between them and the workers. As I understand it, most managers sympathize with their workforce. It's the executives who set policies, not the managers.

There are two kinds of people in this world. The kind who divide the world into two kinds of people, and the kind who don't.

One of the managers was driving a brand new Escalade. We know that because she had nothing better to do than circle us all day.

Eventually a regional manager came out, and he was driving a pretty fancy car also.

But you make a good point, NY, we don't want to divided the low payed managers from the workers. I've known a few of them and they work plenty hard for not much pay.
