  •  WH asked her (6+ / 0-)
"As a senior US diplomat, I agreed to a White House request to appear on the Sunday shows to talk about the full range of national security issues of the day, which at that time were primarily and particularly the protests that were enveloping and threatening many diplomatic facilities—American diplomatic facilities—around the world and Iran's nuclear program. The attack on Benghazi—on our facilities in Benghazi—was obviously a significant piece of this."
It's not unusual for public to not get all the info intelligence has.

    •  In my view a bad call (0+ / 0-)

The WH didn't need to send anybody that Sunday. They should have waited at least another week until more facts were known.

given the timing in proximity to the election. One of the attacks the Mitt was making was that Obama's foreign policy was dangerous and as insane as that was some were buying it. The WH was in a position where they had to show that they were handling the crisis in all the the countries and on top of Benghazi.

        This is a manufactured controversy.
