    they even say so.

I agree with them but we simply cannot know what is true because of that (either way).

However initially it leaked out that O was getting 400% more. Now that's downplayed with vague statement.

I find it very likely he is getting more than Bush. Far right Republicans are much more likely to be armed then Dems who opposed Bush. And with all that talk about second amendment remedies? That talk continues ...we did not have that part of the mainstream discourse EVER against Bush or Clinton. It inspires people who are angry toward action.
IT just seems completely plausable given the atmosphere.

I will follow SS advice and not discuss his high rate of threat where REpublicans could hear...who know what it might inspire.

The "leak" you refer to was only found in one rather sensationalistic book, and no source was ever revealed.  And it was not downplayed with vague statement, it was flatly contradicted in testimony before Congress.
Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) wanted to know whether Obama faced a greater threat to his security than past presidents.

Sullivan said that published reports claiming that Obama faced a 400 percent increase in death threats were incorrect. "I'm not sure where that number comes from," he said. The number of threats against Obama, he said, "are the same level as it has been for the last two presidents."

hard to believe O's is the same level.
clearly you know more about it than I. I did read the diary and thought I got the information there, but know nothing beyond that.
