idea to save some $$ on electricity-use a timer
they make ones that can handle the outdoors-set to turn on and off.

For my neighborhood-kind of quiet later in the evening so I set the lights to come on just past dusk-around 5:30 and the to go off at 10.

I don't forget to turn them off and on a chilly night, not running around outside to turn them off.

    Happy Holidays!

    •  Thank you, VA. (3+ / 0-)

I do have a timer around here somewhere that I have used to turn inside lights on and off when away. I think I even know where it is! :)

I moved in here in late July, and embarrassed to say, I still have boxes I have not unpacked. Pretty sure the timer is in a drawer that moved as is. :)

It was summer when I moved in, so I pretty much unpacked the necessities and then enjoyed the summer instead of organizing. Now that it is colder outside, I am finishing up.

An advantage of living alone. I didn't have to unpack if I didn't feel like it. :)

      Happy Holidays to you.
