    I remember when the GOP was predicting a landslide win for Romney in the electoral votes. They predicted around 330 electoral votes for Romney, and said that would be a landslide. As it turned out, of course, Obama won 332-206. But when Obama wins by such a large margin, it's not a landslide, but a "squeaker". If it is a landslide for one, it would be a landslide for the other.

    Then they insisted that even if Romney lost the electoral vote, he would win the popular vote he would win the popular vote, for example Trump's seditious remarks after the election that Romney won the popular vote by a lot.

    Of course, Romney didn't win the popular vote by a lot, he didn't win it at all, and it really wasn't very close. Close would be Kennedy in 1960 or Nixon in 1968. Or Garfield in 1880, where he won the electoral vote by 0.09%.
