  •  The most useful distinction, imho, is Capitalist.. (4+ / 0-)

    Class and Working Class. Either you work for a living or your money works for your living. The trinkets and comforts can get signficantly nicer depending on the work you do for that living, but your interests, in a broader sense, depend on whether you're being paid to work or are paying others to do the work.

      There are capitalists and there are capitalists.

      My neighbor has a heating and air business with 2 employees.  He is both a capitalist and a worker ( he employs himself).  He doesn't have much in common with the Mitt Romneys of this world.

        And look at millionaire basketball players. What class are they in? Technically, they're still wage earners, but they're also capitalists, with endorsements, etc.
