  •  this is why they called Clinton "unpopular" (6+ / 0-)

    and Bush "popular" even though Clinton's ratings were around 60% and Bush's in the 30s. They simply counted their own. "Of people we know, Bill Clinton is disliked".

    Unfortunately for us, these people own the newspapers, the networks and hire their cocktail party friends to give us commentary.

    •  I think they do it for a different reason - they (0+ / 0-)

      are professional propagandists who are paid to create a narrative that supports American plutocracy. They know that eventually the majority of Americans will not support a system that works actively against their interests, and it takes constant work, like the endless ads you see for toothpaste or laundry detergent, to tell the public what they should be thinking. If this story is ever neutralized, you will see massive changes to the government makeup.
