    The Republicans had convinced themselves that the 47% were a bunch of lazy moochers. Part of the logic behind the voter suppression acts was that the 'lazy' Obama voters would see the reduced early voting opportunities  and long lines and and just give up and go home. After the election you can see Republicans with that deer-in-the-headlights look (I'm looking at you, Ryan) genuinely surprised that people were standing in line for hours and hours to vote. And they sure weren't voting for Mitt.
