  •  the MOST appropriate retort to this (10+ / 0-)

    is "Fuck You".

Too bad dems won't say it.

"Fuck you and the fiscal cliff we aren't going to be falling off of, you slack-jawed, drunken-ass, motherpokers."

That is exactly what those fuckwads should hear.

    But they won't.

They'll hear dems continuing to try and get someplace with "please" and "thank you" and "Mr. Cantor sir".... and NONE of that wussy-talk will get us anywhere while the GOP is singlemindedly focused on getting what it wants without regard for ANYTHING as they seek it.

And you will have your hands full trying to "please and thank you" your way with this sort of mindset in your enemy

yes, Republicans are the enemy. We aren't having "technical disagreements" that can be worked out diplomatically.

We have a bunch of weenies trying to please and thank you themselves to success with bullies who would rather beat them in the head.

You can't just walk around and no acknowledge this shit and think you;re going to beat these fuckers.

These are the times when I tell people I support dems because there is no other choice.

    Filibuster this, whiners.

    •  You can be nice and say the same thing (4+ / 0-)

      My personal preference would be:

"With all due respect, Mr. Cantor, no means no. You clearly are more interested in pleasing your base then in moving this country forward, so frankly we're done talking. Come back if and when you are serious about this."

It means the exact same thing, but makes them look like pricks instead of us.

I am saying NO you can't be nice with them and have an expectation that you will get what you want.

I think their aggression should be met with aggression. They should experience dems telling them to go fuck themselves: that's pretty much the GOP attitude towards Dems. Dems just lap it up and keep asking "please and may I?"

Somebody needs to tell Cantor to fuck the fuck off. Not say please and sir to him.

And I don't really care if we "look like pricks" so long as we get what we actually and truly need. We need to win, here, not enjoy a useless compromise.

I suppose I will now here how half a loaf of stale bread is better than no loaf at all when we had first wanted single payer healthcare.

        Fuck that shit.
