And workers find themselves right back where they started.

This is the end result of free trade agreements that refuse to address workers rights.

Basically we fought hard for strong labor rights for 100 years, and with outsourcing and free trade agreements, we've seen the "job creators" just close up shop here and create jobs where there are no workers rights.

This should be as galvanizing as the Triangle Fire was in 1911, but thanks to complete corporate control of the media, no one will remember this by this time next month.

The Triangle Fire galvanized the nation, yet today, not many are aware of it. It was a major event in American history, but it's been swept under the rug.

We get people shaking their fist at OSHA, because they take a safe workplace for granted.  We only have safe workplaces because after the Triangle Fire and other similar events, people fought to make sure they didn't happen again.

We've tried it Ayn Rand's way. It failed. Without safety regulations, people had to choose between starvation and working in a death trap. There was so much loss of life on the Titanic because there was no regulation ensuring there was enough space on the lifeboats for everyone.

The Triangle Fire galvanized people, because by fighting for safety in the workplace, they were fighting for their own safety. A similar disaster halfway around the world, unfortunately, doesn't motivate people. They just don't see that by shopping at Wal Mart, they are casting their dollar votes for deathtrap factories.
