    and there's little that civil libertarians can do about it.  It is a function of technological innovation, and not even the Constitution can really curb it.  The only countervailing force, in the end, will again be technological, not constitutional.

    At some point groups like Anonymous, if indeed they exist, will need to find technological methods to combat this movement.  Technology will soon outpace the constraints envisioned by our Constitution's framers, if it hasn't done so already.  And technology certainly progresses at a pace that far surpasses our ability as a society to grasp and form a political consensus upon.  We are mired in gridlock, but technology moves forward at the speed of light.

      we will all have to become anonymous.  i think that groups like anonymous are a slim reed to place our hopes upon.  

      if americans prize their privacy and want to protect their civil rights they will have to join together to reverse encroachments already made and prevent further damage to their rights.  i guess we'll see if that can happen.
