    La Cage aux Folles  [late 70's, i think.]

    Also hilarious in the movie:  Hank Azaria.
    Waaay over the top, but lol-funny.

    Absolutely right, in regarding to the different acting,
    stage vs. screen.  Last week I re-watched the film version
    of Hello, Dolly--which I Love on stage, but I gotta say
    the film version is kinda...  too much?

    Even tho Barbra was her usual fabulous self--the whole
    thing was just a lot to take in.  I've never seen Streisand
    on stage, but I kept thinking:  I'll bet she would have been
    so much better suited to play this on stage.

    Films and Stage--love 'em both, too, but most times
    all things are not equal there.  Altho I will admit that I'm
    very excited to see Les Miz, coming out next month!
