  •  I {{{~♥~}}} Nathan Lane! (6+ / 0-)

Have seen Nathan on various TV shows in the past, fell in love with him!

Saw The Birdcage, fell in love with him!  Robin Williams was the perfect "straight man" to Nathan's sweet, campy, and oh, so lovable, Albert.  [Dang, but I so wish Nathan was related to me!]

Saw The Producers on Hulu a few days ago, put it in my queue, and aaaaawaaaaay I went, fell in love with Nathan all over again!  I loved Matthew Broderick from his role in Ladyhawke many years ago, and he's a sweetie.  [If you can stand the crappy ads, The Producers is still on Hulu - I mute the darn things.  It'll be a while before it's pulled, I hope; I put it back in my queue and will be watching it again.]

I suspect behind Nathan's theatre masks of campy ham and funny guy he's quite likely one of the nicest people a person could ever hope to meet, so I've wondered what he's like when he's not "on."  [Picture Roy Scheider in All That Jazz looking in the mirror "It's Show Time, Folks!"]

    Oh, did I mention I {{{~♥~}}} Nathan Lane?  :-)

doesn't love Nathan Lane?  Well, except for that asshat upthread...but most of us love him.

I didn't pursue it, but apparently he did standup comedy early in his career & I bet those clips, if on YT, are hysterical.

To make the argument that the media has a left- or right-wing, or a liberal or a conservative bias, is like asking if the problem with Al-Qaeda is do they use too much oil in their hummus. Al Franken
