    They changed it in 2004 in case Kerry won and Romney appointed someone (read himself). Then the Democrats changed it back in 2009 when Teddy died. Whether they change it or not, the Republicans will whine, so we might as well give them something to actually be outraged over. I say Gov. Patrick should run. I don't think Brown can realistically get elected to any statewide office in Mass. in the next 8-10 years. He damaged himself by deciding to run a racist, misogynistic scorched Earth campaign. And the election probably won't be held on a day there is a blizzard against a candidate as bad as Martha Coakley.

      ...would we now have Senate Elect Elizabeth Warren?  If it took two years of the insufferable Senator McDreamy in order to get the stellar Elizabeth Warren---then so be it!
