Republicans are trying to knock out Rice because they want Sen Kerry out of the Senate to open a place for Brown to run again.

Already today the two Senators (Corker and Collins) who met with Rice immediatly came out and said they would support Kerry. Collins even claimed Kerry would be "easily" confirmed by the senate. McCain said he, Kerry, was almost President so he would win confirmation.

The ploy is obvious; the GOP believes Brown would win an election if it's held soon since his campaign is still fresh in voters minds and his machine is still intact. If they can knock out Rice and Obama falls back on Kerry they see a pickup of a senate seat.

with their petty bullshit that Obama will appoint Rice.  If he was waffling between Rice and Kerry he sure as shit isn't now.

So that's working out well for them.

Everything they do to insure one outcome makes the other thing happen.
One good thing, everyone is talking about McCain always being on the Sunday shows. And always wrong.

    •  No its about their contempt for the President. (0+ / 0-)

Kerry's seat will be up for special election even if Rice replaces Clinton because Kerry will be the Secretary of Defense if Rice get the State Department.
