    You cannot compare a non-violent act to a type of love. That's just insane. People like this seem to completely miss the idea that the morality of an action is based on its consequences (at least to the extent that the moral agent could or should have predicted them).

    He wants to base his perspective on morality on a black-and-white interpretation of an ancient text, but he isn't even being honest to the text he claims to support. Where the Bible opposes homosexuality, it doesn't just say it's bad, it says they're worthy of death (e.g. Leviticus 20:13 in the Old Testament, Romans 1:26-32 in the New Testament). If you're going to take the passage seriously, you have to take the incitements to murder seriously, and if you're not going to take that part seriously because it's so freaking barbaric, then why is it not okay to throw the whole thing out?
