  •  Thank you, Sen. Gillibrand, for stepping (6+ / 0-)

up and taking the lead on supporting a Change to US Senate Rule #22, commonly (and mistakenly) referred to as the "Filibuster" rule.

The People need a working US Senate, to ensure a steady path for the nation out of the lingering Great Recession/Lesser Depression.

The overly used, and completely non-transparent method of Senate Obstruction used (almost singularly) by the Republican US Senators since #OnceandFutureSpeaker US Rep. Nancy Pelosi took up the Speaker's gavel is simply unprecedented, since the rule was enacted in 1917 in response to then US President Woodrow Wilson's request for - don't blink now - a way to stop the endless filibusters obstructing the functioning of the US Senate. (that link is the official US Senate website).
