Why is it so hard for pundits, reporters, politicians to apologizes. I think more positive of that person if they recognize their mistake and correct it. When Pres Obama was getting his Cabinet together he nominated couple people with past tax problems, later Obama went on national tv and said he screwed up. It was refreshing. If memory serves me correct his approval ratings went up. I digress, kudos to Stephanie......

    Please proceed, Governor---President Obama

Because they are people who depend on their reputation for being right.
And because we've developed a competitive culture that punishes anything less than perfect.
Being wrong in some instances can mean your election or your appearance bookings.
To my mind, when someone that I respect and learn from, finds they've made an error and corrects it, that's instructive because you get to see their process on both sides of an issue. And you get a read on the personality.
This letter is brilliant, shows her ability to change her position in relation to new information, shows her in a position where people have already donated, that has to be honored, even if it does mean forwarding those donations to the Sally and she atones for her mistake personally. That's a good person. And someone I could probably trust in the future because I know that if she gets it wrong, she'll come back and correct it.
      Rachel's like that too.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

or the everyday uncertainties that surround us will scare the crap out of them. for cons, certainty is more important than truth. their leaders are certain and are never wrong and hence never have to apologize.

the world is black and white, after all.

This is a list of 76 universities for Rush Limbaugh that endorse global warming denial, racism, sexism, and partisan lying by broadcasting sports on Limbaugh radio stations.
