Has a theory on Quinn & Dar Adul's "true" purpose and how it might reset the table for the show. (hint: Abu Nazir didn't slip into the country. He was let in.)

Even though there were reports about the length of his contract, I think Damian Lewis' time on the show is coming closer & closer to being over. I know he's a great actor & the chemistry between him & Claire Danes is amazing. But I just think the longer he stays around, the more ridiculous the plot elements will become to keep a status quo that will allow Brody to remain a character.

Based on what I've read, he signed a 5 year option, not a guarantee... so I'm thinking they might plan to kill him off and then use him in flashbacks or something.

I thought they would do something similar to how the character of Nina Myers was handled on "24," and the season finale would be him being caught & sent to a Supermax Prison/Guantanamo & then they would introduce a new threat in the new season.

And that way they could always bring him back for a few episodes to help/play games (e.g. maybe he might have useful information to deal with it), but since it would be a limited number of episodes they don't have to pad it with superfluous crap & it could be tighter in believability.

They could still go that route.

      F. Murray Abraham's IMDB page only credits him for a single episode, while the "Homeland" page credits the main cast for 24 episodes (the entirety of the first two seasons).

But there's no way he's not gonna appear on the show again... just maybe not this season.
