Although I mostly use photography service providers, not drugstores or big box stores. So far I have not noticed any massive increase in processing prices, but getting prints from these guys has always been pricey. If processing negative film I usually get just an index print anyway. I think most places that process film these days for the general public process the film then run it through a scanner to make digital prints, and maybe even deliver a CD/DVD with or without negatives.

The biggest effect has been the number of processors has decreased dramatically. Fortunately I live in Colorado which is just chock full of photographers so the market is still decent for photo retailers. In some areas I wouldn't be surprised to hear processing needs to be done by mail.
