    Sharing this journey as you are doing is affirming for those of us who teach or have taught. We can identify directly with your experiences. This effort also provides an opportunity for others to appreciate all that goes into the role of teacher. I am always struck by your sense of respect and non-judgmental approach to others - students, colleagues, or even the larger system in which are working. You seem to have a sense of professional balance that I confess I did not always have.

      I am reflective, and would prefer, perhaps because of my Quaker orientation, to find something to affirm.
