  •  I identify with that (24+ / 0-)

We had made no plans to adopt our girl a little over 2 years ago, but coming home after my Dad's funeral my husband said out of the blue "let's go to the shelter and get something to think about besides ourselves"  I was so happy, I had wanted a pet for a very long time.

We came home with a Border Collie Mix puppy, and our lives have never been the same, in so many good ways.  She is our little heart, my exercise buddy, and now my dog agility buddy (how did I start in that? oh yea, BORDER COLLIE!)

I can't imagine living without a dog now, and Layla has helped us through so much, from my Dad's death to my husband getting sick for a while shortly afterward, she is always there, stairing at me for that evening walk after my fork hits the plate from the last bite of dinner.  That wonderful stare.  I'll be her willing sheep as long as she likes :)

Manufacturing outrage; the only manufacturing jobs Republicans won't outsource.
