  •  And then what? (0+ / 0-)
It's part of a process that will likely end with Palestine declaring itself a state and most countries in the world recognizing it.
Territory? Overflight? Overland? Access to ports? Granting access to foreign militaries?

but it would be between two sovereign nations.  It would create some "facts on the ground", similar to Israel continuing to build settlements in Palestinian territory.

Right now Israel has no incentive to come to the table.  Let's be realistic, Netanyahu has absolutely no intention of coming to peace or reaching an agreement.

This would change things so he might feel pressured to do so, lest things end up even worse by default.

      We could also expect:

"Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!  Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes!  The dead rising from the grave!  Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!"

Oh, wait - that's from Ghostbusters.

      Never mind.

Struggle with dignity against injustice. IS there anything more honorable that a person can do?
