    Wood siding is also more expensive (though more aesthetically pleasing to my eye), and cementitious siding outstrips vinyl in cost.

    Though, I'd argue that both those options provide better long-term performance.

    In europe they'd tend to build with the longer lasting material as the default choice. Here we don't, we go quick and cheap - to our detriment.

    Ironically, the same argument can also be made about building standards and maintenance programs for bridges.

      Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.
