  •  Right now, the GAAAIME is "Blow me, conservatives" (7+ / 0-)

The "humiliation" game was over on November 6th.
Gergen and Morning Joe are still stuck on that last game, conservatives never even bothered to develop a strategy for the current game.

The current game is the one where the GOP can decide to 1) sit still for across the board tax hikes on all Americans (including their remaining middle class constituents) or 2) negotiate some cosmetic spending cuts in order to avoid a tax hike on their remaining middle class constituents.

Obama and Dems are doing exactly the right thing by explaining the positions and stakes to Americans right now, via a campaign. And they will "blame game" the crap out of the right--justly--if the GOP forgoes a chance to stop a tax hike on middle class Americans.
