  •  I can't thank you enough for this! (13+ / 0-)

I located an old family friend instantly.

He was the crotchety WWII vet I knew as a kid. I'd last visited him in 1972 when he was living in the Soldier's Home in DC.

I'm only 50 minutes away Arlington and will drive down over the weekend to pay my respects.

    •  Welcome to Both!! (8+ / 0-)

It came in in an e-mail from USA.gov so I went exploring before I posted to a couple of my sites related to the military and veterans and thought many here might find it very useful as well, also sent it out to many friends.

One of my first thoughts were the National Cemeteries that the VA have all over the country, but that would be a task as there are many and since Shinseki and his Administration came in they've added a number more, a few in states that never had one, and are still adding to fill that Long Time Need. They would need one for each and I can imagine that the Arlington Explorer was a task to put together and they still adding other pieces to not only just the newer buried!!
