    UP is better, imo, but MHP is vastly better than other cable news shows.  the great thing about them is that they are mostly devoid of the political BS that dominate other shows, and are mostly policy.  their political analysis is much more about structure, and they focus not only on the most famous politicians in DC, but also state governments, businesses and organizations.

    they also focus a lot on issues that are mostly ignored.  MHP recently had a segment on domestic workers.  UP had several segments a couple of months ago about small business.

    i would not really say UP or MHP are ideologically diverse.  the vast majority of guests are left of center.  i think the shows are better when there are conservatives to argue.  but de rugy was not very good, for example.

      It's only diverse in that there are often conservatives -- but certainly not an equal representation.

      But on some issues there's not really a simple ideological divide -- e.g., the filibuster -- and there's diversity -- just not based on right left necessarily
