    considerably larger in area.  Maybe not as severe dust storms because of improved plowing and land maintenance.

    I don't know, though, do they still practice all that?

      So they don't have to manuever around them with their $300,000 megatractors. Sadly, most of the folks who remember the dust bowl are in the nursing homes or beyond. On the windier tops of the Buffalo Ridge you can see there's often but an inch or three of topsoil, and though now grass covered, the sand dunes are still obvious.

        My folks are passed away, but I remember listening to their stories of the Dirty Thirties.

        but am not in the least surprised.  The ones making those decisions are oblivious to their destructive ways.  They don't know the past and don't look to the future.  Call themselves supermen while practicing dark witchery.
