    and directly helped to craft that Wall Street bailout policy under Gee Shrubya that left the economy in this mess.

    THAT'S why I don't like him and he should have never been selected to be Treasury Secy when he spent these last few years undermining his boss.  

    I think the President is allowing Geithner to leave with some class and dignity when he told him to do this:

    I'm thinking Obama sat him down and said, "Tim, you've got no wriggle room here. This is what I was elected on, so go out and sell it. If you have a problem with this, here's your resignation letter and a pen."
    Just so everyone knows what a royal eff-up Geithner has been all along.

      your user name is one thing, but what IS the truth here?

      I am a little confused by your reference to Geithner helping to craft a bailout policy - when did he do this under Bush?

      IIRC there were (post election) aspects of the bailout which we later discovered that Geithner had sat back from, and let others at the Fed do the work, precisely because he was after a job under Obama and likely to get it....
