  •  Politico probably figured the food stamp (16+ / 0-)

recipient would also get charity from the local church and neighbors.  Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

The other night I talked to a guy who has some health issues and I believe, alcohol issues. He went to the polls and voted so I thanked him for voting. He complained he had to change his address because he's renting out his house and living somewhere else. I am not sure what to make of it as he would blend in with the homeless population rather well, and spends a lot of time sitting on a curb. But he never solicits money from me, and is one of the more harmless characters we have around town.

I admitted I voted for Barack.  He said, he is on the other side. Then he proceeded to tell me that he had been on  CICP (Colorado Indigent Care Program), but it was no longer available to him so now he is applying for medicaid and food stamps.  Then he told me he listens to "talk radio" all day long, which means Mr. Limbaugh and company. Talk about a disconnect!
