  •  yes, it is iconic, and they also make change (0+ / 0-)

purses from subway maps and other junk.

But it is offensive to market it the way they are marketing it.

That's my opinion.  Yours is to lighten up.

Buy Aldus Shrugged : The Antidote to Ayn Rand, and tear Ayn and the GOP new orifices. Plus, I get a small royalty, and Jeff Bezos and his employees get the rest. Not a bad deal, as CEO Bezos is not much of a dick, relatively speaking. @floydbluealdus1

of this and making an obvious mockery of those who have to beg to survive via a "Yours is a tool to beg with, mine is a wallet full of money" pitch.

I just sent this to Crate and Barrel:

      A "lucky beggar" wallet?

Oh, sure, display your Christmas spirit by mocking people who literally have to beg from others to survive. How chic! How trendy! How truly, truly stupid!

Whoever thought up this up? FIRE HIM! AND THE MANAGER WHO OKAYED THIS!

If you feel you'd like to tell C & B your opinion of the marketing for this item:

Freedom has two enemies: Those who want to control everyone around them...and those who feel no need to control themselves.

days ago. (see apology down thread).

The person who now owes an apology is the Diarist for not having the decency to double check things before putting this up.

It shows the company's attitudes.  They apologized only after they had been pummeled.   Let them show in the coming years that their apology means anything by doing something positive.  Then and only then I would say the Diarist owes an article praising them.

(-7.75,-5.64) Headline: "Man who told half the nation to go screw themselves somehow loses a national election".
