    THIS is blogging.

Awesome news and awesome job of nailing things down.

I have not heard a PEEP about this other than here at DKos.

Meanwhile, Cumulus is introducing spy software to track sales personnel, and spy cameras to monitor all employees.
This makes me happy I work in an area of healthcare that is always subject to cuts: no money for spy cams at my job, and I use my own computer.

Paranoid oppression of your employees isn't really going to enhance productivity.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

have known about Cumulus' "spy cams" for several years now. It was the talk of the industry when they put them in.

As for Jerry Del Colliano: he's a snake, and his writing is not to be trusted. He and Clear Channel have a long and very twisted relationship that dates back to the days when he published "Inside Radio," which used to be a fairly reliable, trustworthy daily newsletter.

Then Jerry went on a tear against Clear Channel, evidently with an eye toward getting Clear Channel to buy him out. He kept printing nastier and nastier stuff about Clear Channel in hopes of drawing a lawsuit, which arrived - and which was countered with a suit from Jerry aimed at getting Clear Channel to settle. Which they did, buying Inside Radio and making Jerry a very rich, yet still very bitter man.

How do you know it's a day ending in "Y"? Because Jerry Del Colliano has a new "bombshell" column up predicting Clear Channel's imminent demise.

His track record on predicting the end of Clear Channel is about the same as Harold Camping's on predicting the end of the world. Take him seriously at your own risk.

      •  Too bad. (0+ / 0-)

Clear Channel destroyed many good stations in my city.

They deserve to be Bained out of existence.

        •  They do, and someday they will... (0+ / 0-)

...but we're only going to be fooling ourselves if we mistake Jerry Del Colliano and his personal agenda as representing any kind of fact-based reality. He's been writing this same stuff for many years now, and it's come true about as often as I've hit the lottery.

    •  I'm loving this. (0+ / 0-)

Radio was so corrupt for so many years, especially after the Clear Channels took over -- from the presidents to the on-air "talent" to the sales people -- now they're all turning on each other after the Golden Goose died.
