Born in central KY and now live in blue louisville.  We don't need to concentrate on this type of person (the religious idiots).  It would be a waste of time compared to other areas where we can [place our efforts.  We need to use our GOTV mechanisms in KY.  McConnell only won KY by a bit more than 100k votes (He ran against putrid former Republican Lunsford for whom even I did not vote; figured we'd never get rid of him if he won and that we can get McConnell this time with a real Dem).  Anyway, we need to register the Latino vote and get the rest of the vote out in Louisville, Lexington.   This has to start now.  I have  n adopted little brother who is a Centre grad, speaks fluent Spanish and has agreed to go with me to every Mexican restaurant in the state to work on the registration drive.  Can anyone point me in the direction of an organization that I can coordinate my efforts with, please?

    •  I meant to include that (2+ / 0-)

my littlee brother is Latino, born in Guatamala BTW.

    •  I live outside Lexington. There are several (0+ / 0-)

Kossacks that live in KY.  Perhaps we should start a Kentucky Kos?   Work exactly towards that - registering and turning out the vote in the Louisville to Lexington corridor and environs?

I volunteered to my local county Dem org, and they didn't do much.

I'm an import from Chicago, I've been here 18 years or so.

"Privatize to Profitize" explains every single Republican economic, social and governing philosophy. Take every taxpayer dollar from defense, education, health care, public lands, retirement - privatize it, and profit from it.

      •  That would be good. How would we get organized (0+ / 0-)

or attach to an existing org?

        •  We could do it on our own, I guess (have to check (0+ / 0-)

voter registration laws), or attach to MoveOn, or OFA, or KY Dem party

OFA might be a good deal?  Infrastructure already exists, and OFA members.
