Even though I've been seriously tempted, I have never before contacted a member of Congress, or any state/local politician for that matter.

I wrote a letter to Senator John Thune (SD) today demanding an answer and explanation of his henious and cowardly "no" vote. I fully expect that his reply, if any, will be something lame and inadequate.

I was plently shocked when I heard that the treaty was rejected.  Reading your diary regarding Moran finally did it for me.  THe Gop has completely lost all shame.  I feel even more strongly now that they need to be defeated, even humiliated if possible, at every turn.

How can Moran go back to Kansas and face the electorate?  This is just mind boggling.  I guess that he must feel that this vote will draw little opposition back home. Going back on his personal pledge to Dole himself, even while Dole is present on the floor of the Senate.  How can this idiot even sleep at night?   This treaty was a no-brainer for Christ's sake!

Its mind boggling.  I don't know what else to say.

about being nice and decent to disabled people?

I'm still amazed at the callousness of it all.

Thank you for the kind words.
