    at getting the T-37 out of a spin.

    I couldn't stand spins and didn't want to be in one a second longer than I had to.

    If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!

    •  I have never been in a spin in a P-51 (3+ / 0-)

      but have talked to people who have and have seen cockpit videos.  They oscillate, and a spin in one is a wild ride.  I don't mind spins in a Cub or Champ.  I even like them in a sailplane.
