  •  After Occupy 'protest fatigue' is a big issue (1+ / 0-)

A lot of committed activists are still working to get on their feet, financially and emotionally, after occupy ended.  The tactic of occupation created real, offline, activist communities for the first time in a long time, but it also created a lot of protest fatigue.

I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.

    •  That's exactly what I'm talking about though (0+ / 0-)

As someone who has been deeply involved in Occupy since the beginning, what I've experienced is protest fatigue because there was a failure to secure any obvious victories.  When you win you are energized and can keep going, when you don't have any obvious wins it becomes a drudge.

The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.
