    They got so many calls that it actually broke the switchboard at the Capitol.

    That's not a figure of speech.  It actually overloaded the big 'ol telephone junction box.

    It wound up having the impact of a DDOS attack on their servers, as well.  

    Never in American history have so many of us, so quickly, from both parties and all political views, told our Congresspeople not to vote for a bill.

    They were terrified, so they voted no.  They were promised by the men with cash is sacks that if they voted yes they would be insulated.

    Those men kept the promise.  Almost none of them lost their seats and the tiny handful that did were given "consulting" jobs and the like.

    And the last vestige of a representative Republic died.

    Not voting isn't the answer, but voting no longer is either.

    This place needs a PVP server.
