    •  No! If I did, I don't remember it. A used bike? (0+ / 0-)

He is famously cheap. The governor's mansion was being renovated -- they might have found asbestos or something like that -- and she took the boys to their beach house over the summer during the work.
But school was starting, and they needed to be back in Columbia, but the mansion wasn't ready.
Rather than rent a place or make the state pay for a place for them, he had the family move into the pool house at the mansion.
Normally, I'd think that was fine, but they had four boys. Four. And the place had one bathroom for the six of them.
I would have been so pissed at my husband, especially if I had a rich husband, who probably had no idea what it was like taking care of four boys and trying to get them off to school every morning with one bathroom for a family of six.

Confession time: When I'm not ranting about politics, I write romance novels

      •  I've read that most people handle money and sex (0+ / 0-)

the same way.  (If there are any psych therapists onboard, jump in)  I think the other question is why a woman would find Stingy Sanford attractive.  Over the long run.  Sounds like a taker thru and thru.  Then, again, maybe I've just defined a politician.
