  •  Jon Stewart is the reason (4+ / 0-)

my son got interested in politics and current events as well. He's also had a huge influence on his development and understanding of humor and satire. Not an easy thing for my autistic son to grasp. When he was younger we watched solely online (and by segments) so I could edit out some of the more mature moments. Now that he's 17, we watch it together every night. Sometimes he covers his eyes over the more mature moments. Mostly he deals with them and laughs.
Sometimes he runs into the living room to share with Dad.

Used to be, when we started this that we'd watch Jon Stewart, then Keith O. then Colbert, all online. We miss our daily Keith O. much more serious than the other two, but still enjoyable. We do watch some MSNBC every night still though.
