    there are two choices here:

    1) Obama won legitimately;

    2) The election was stolen by ACORN.

    Now, the argument could be made that because the poll didn't include a third choice--stolen, but not by ACORN--that the poll is flawed. I grant that. But that doesn't change the fact that anyone who doesn't pick option 1 believes that Obama won by cheating. Isn't that worth noting?

    oops. I hope the gate wasn't too expensive.

    •  No, because of poll skew effects (0+ / 0-)

      Dante, go ask Nate Silver what conclusions you can draw from responses, any responses, to a poll question that is fundamentally broken.

        And, I would bet you $10,000 that most of the folks who think ACORN stole the election wouldn't believe you (or anyone) if you told them ACORN doesn't exist any more.  You are making a big deal out of next to nothing.

        so that's neither here nor there, but I'm also a professional quantitative and qualitative researcher, so you don't need to tell me to ask someone else about my own business.

        That said, you have a set number of people who are unable to respond in the affirmative to the first choice, which was completely unbiased--namely, that Obama won the election legitimately.

        That in and of itself, no matter how you present the second option, is pretty strong evidence regarding the culture of vote fraud that has permeated the Republican Party.

        oops. I hope the gate wasn't too expensive.
