    No it doesn't take that into account.

    Which is, of course, one of the flaws with this sort of analysis.

    There are enough ticket-splitters in the world to muddy the waters as well. The four states I've lived in longer than a year all have split Senate delegations of one R and one D right now. This seems strange to me.

    The plural of anecdote is not data.
