    ...accepts a contract through which new hires at GM North earn as much as new hires at Toyota South?

    The UAW leadership got shafted in its negotiations with GM and Chrysler, and the least they could have done is resigned en masse.

    In many ways, US unions are beginning to resemble their counterparts in Mexico.

    Every year, it's, we need to hold the line on wages, because of globalization.  We can't let "El Patron" go under.

    Meanwhile, "El Patron" goes to the Mediterranean to sail his US$ 30M yacht, courtesy of the favorable contract the Mexican union chief signed off on.
