It was her mother performing CPR on the body
Even the source story, thin as it is, says otherwise.
Cox said the 911 operator asked her to administer CPR, which she said she was unable to do. The operator also asked her to move the body to the floor, but Cox said she was unable to because she is 69 years old and has a knee injury.

    •  some people call CPR (0+ / 0-)

just the P, pulmonary..ie mouth to mouth recesitation is part of CPR. If someone had a pulse so you just did mouth to mouth you'd still be "performing CPR" though most of us think of compressions only for that.

we don't know from the info here if she had a pulse or not. When mother was "unable to perform CPR" we are assuming chest compressions.

It be nice to have the clarity that her heart was stopped when the mother was on the phone and was stopped for ten minutes but we do not know.

We also have not heard what the EMT's might have said to make the mother think it was predudice. I'd think the average 69 year old wouldnt conjure that on her own. Perhaps they were crass and then said "she's dead anyway".

there is a lot we do not know.
