  •  More proof that the Christian God doesn't exist (1+ / 0-)

Sorry, Mr. Fischer (and Huckabee and Santorum and all you other deluded nutcases).  If he cannot intervene to prevent this tragedy, then he is not all-powerful and / or omnipotent.  If he can but chooses not to, then he is not good.

It's funny how the Christian God once had the power to flood the whole earth and turn water to wine and cause bushes to flame without burning, and now cannot seem to do anything at all worthwhile (except appear in shower mold and toast and Doritos).  Maybe we need a new one.

    •  Wrong word there. (0+ / 0-)

I think the word you're looking for is 'evidence'.

      Also, there's no 'christian god'.

The ideas for a god, even the 'christian god', are so wildly divergent and contradictory that there's basically as many christian gods as there are believers who call themselves christian.

Some of them are so different that they don't even recognize the other one's god as christian.  These categories are things like catholic, protestant, mormon, fundamentalist, baptist, methodist, etc...

I'm not sure the problem of evil applies to all of these ideas, but I have at least heard some believers to which the problem of evil doesn't apply at all.  This isn't evidence against that god.
