    you could maybe...and correctly, whatever that means, haha, approach that giant available solar roof nearby that is sooooo sunny and ripe for an installation...I have an apartment owner neighbor who maybe can be sold on a solar lease and the money that could be used by his tenants to help with their electricity bill, and make his apartments more desireable..or , ugh, raise his rents, or, ugh, pocket the utility savings and increase his rent.
      The purchase after the lease is up is reported by many to be, at this point in the benefit/cost calcs to be a good good deal. If in 8 yrs or whatever the panels are wiped out or new ones are way cheaper and way more efficient, maybe not renew the lease in favor of a newer deal.

    Whatever he does, he would be 'saving the planet, one roof at a time.'

    It would be an uphill effort for me to inform myself, and him, and handhold him thru it, but doable, as my roof is pitched wrong and shaded...YMWV.
