  •  Here is some training advice: (5+ / 0-)

~make sure food being fed is an adult food with no sugar and a reasonable amount of protein - 24% or less. High protein and sugar = rocket fuel.

~lot's of aerobic exercise  - a tired dog is a good dog

~a nice crate (not cage) for when you're gone. Keep a nice bone or two in there.

~make sure the dog has plenty of stuff they can chew on. If the like rugs, give them rope toys to chew, if they like hard chair legs give them hard bones, if they like pillows give them stuffed toys. 6 toys minimum at all times.

~puppy proof the house. Pick up what you don't want chewed, Put Murphy soap or liquid dishwashing soap on chair legs and baseboards.

Remember dogs sleep 14 to 16 hours a day. Their high activity periods (oficially called the "puppy zoomies") are at dusk and dawn.

I did have a client who left his dog in the garage all day and one long day he ate the tires on the jeep. I love that dog!

Tracy B Ann - technically that is my signature.
