How about we re-interpret the 2nd amendment to include only those arms available at the time the Constitution was written?

Historical limitations are a terrible idea, lest we wind up with the only press protected by the 1st amendment being actual printing presses, and the only speech that which is spoken directly.  Let's have a 28th amendment, it can read like the 21st (repealed prohibition). "The 2nd amendment to the US constitution is hereby repealed."

Hey, a guy can dream, right?

supersede is spelled with 's' - not 'c'. Does't detract from your point - I agree completely.

at least according to webster, it has been an accepted spelling since the 17th century, but "is commonly seen as an error."

Granted, I had no idea until you pointed it out, I was just guessing on the spelling :-P  But really, could English make less sense? Precede is spelled with a c, right? I think I'll stick to engineering :-P
