  •  Resilience F. T. W. - so, about assault guns... (0+ / 0-)

To be brief, though I've long since stopped attending a Christian church, but I don't like to exclude the Christian perspective from my thinking. I'd looked up a matter of the preface of President Obama's speech. He cited (informally) 2 Corintians 4:18.

Not to overthink it, but I would like to say - personally, "Eat that, Obama haters!" (I mean really, who's judging what on what again?)

    Moving on...

I think that the President's speech strikes a shining note in the tone of, Resilience.

I think that's all I could wish to say, as a comment to the President's speech.

As a comment to the issues, I look forward to the forthcoming discussion. I presume that the issue of bans on assault guns may be reintroduced. Personally, I think it would be a reasonable ban to introduce.

I think, we may wish to do something to remind gun owners that social responsibility is an indelible feature of gun ownership. Perhaps a ban on assault guns would not be the only possible feature of such a plan. The suggestion of there being a limit on ammunition, I think I could understand that too.

Here's to social responsibility, resilience, and a good, heartening holiday for the people of Newton, CT (and Aurora, CO) and anywhere where reason prevails.

To a happier and more resilient 2013, Humble Cheers.
