  •  I think we ought to put the 'cold dead fingers' (6+ / 0-)

    part into law.  Because so many guns are stolen making the pool of 'unowned guns' very large.  What if having a gun lost or stolen was a felony - failure to secure a deadly weapon?  In other words, if YOUR actual gun isn't in YOUR actual hand, why aren't you dead?  What if possession of a gun w/o a serial number was possession of a deadly weapon with intent to murder?

    We can do the 3 strikes.  Why can't gun laws be about deadly weapons.  Why can't the punishments be monetary?  Why couldn't it mean loss of substantial property for failure to secure a deadly weapon?

      set of laws or regulations. I think that if you can't afford a gun safe, you can't afford a gun.

      The rest of your proposal makes sense too. Great ideas!!

      Something that doesn't make good sense, makes bad sense. That means someone is being deliberately hurtful & selfish. Look for motives behind actions & words.
